About the conference

WIRS 2025 will explore the benefits of interdisciplinary research and foster collaboration among diverse fields to develop solutions for today's challenges. This symposium is designed to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and the formation of strategic alliances. This will be accomplished through oral presentations, interactive poster sessions, and roundtable discussions.

Keynote Speaker Dr. Michael E. Burns

Michael E. Burns (Ph.D.)

Dr. Burns is an assistant teaching professor in the Department of Communication at the University of Colorado Boulder. He also serves as the Director of TEDxCU. He is an award-winning instructor and group facilitator who teaches several courses that focus on persuasion, leadership, small group dynamics, team problem solving, sport communication, and training development. Dr. Burns is a champion of interdisciplinary research and the creator of CoSearch, an interdisciplinary research competition that has been used by universities around the globe...

Keynote Speaker Dr. Todd Parrish

Todd Parrish (Ph.D.)

Dr. Parrish has a MS/BS in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, a 3 year stint as a collaborative scientists with Siemens Medical Systems, and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering and Biophysics from the University of Minnesota focused on MR imaging including acquisition, reconstruction, and analysis methods. At the University of Minnesota. He was involved in some early developments of functional MRI and was recruited to Northwestern University in 1995 to develop an MR Neuroimaging research program...
